The upstairs lounge at ZanziBar Newtown is the ultimate party location. Eat, drink or hang out in our opulent lounge area. You can dance the night away to up-beat funky music, the perfect location for you and your friends.
Looking for a unique venue to hold a special event? The upstairs bar is available for private functions seven days a week. You can hire the cushion room for a fee of $500 to secure the room exclusively, minimum 50 people. Sauteed King Prawns with garlic, chilli and tomato

Menu can be adjusted for special dietry requirements and is seasonally dependent
We can custom design menus for you and your budget. .

* $500 room hire fee will not be refunded.
* A minimum $50 deposit is required on confirmation of booking.
* Final details in regards to food, beverages, & furniture must be finalised one week prior to the function.
* Food costs and remaining room hire costs must be paid at this time also.
* If numbers declared at time of booking do not attend 2 hours after the agreed start time the function area will be opened to the public; and
* The Management at Zanzibar Newtown reserve the right to refuse entry or service to you or your guests on the grounds of intoxication or insufficient identification. We also reserve the right to close the function early based on the above conditions. If this is the case, all moneys paid will not be refunded.
